What is a transition initiative? A community-led process that helps towns, cities and neighbourhoods become stronger and happier. These communities form small-scale local responses to the global challenges of climate change and economic hardship. Together, these small-scale responses make up something much bigger! It’s the opposite of us sitting in our armchairs complaining, and instead, it’s about getting up and doing something constructive. Being involved in local “transition initiative”, makes people happier, their communities more robust and creates new friendships.
